Chris Evans is set to present a new series of TFI Friday despite his new job as host of Top Gear, it was confirmed today.
The DJ will make eight episodes of the chat show, which was a hit in the Nineties before being resurrected earlier this month for what was said to be a one off special.
Channel 4 has announced that the programme

The star will have to juggle the two commitments, as well as his daily breakfast show on BBC Radio 2.
TFI Friday originally ran from 1996 to 2000, and became known as a free wheeling, anarchic programme which helped to revolutionise the chat show format.
This year, it was announced that the show which is filmed live would return for a special edition presented by Evans and produced by his long term collaborator Will Macdonald.
The reunion edition, featuring guests such as Clarkson, Lewis Hamilton and Tom Daley, pulled in an audience of 3.35million on June 12.
The show's success prompted speculation it could be commissioned for a full series, but after Evans was unveiled as the new Top Gear presenter many assumed the special would remain a one off.
Shortly after the broadcast, the host tweeted, 'Chapter officially closed. Time to move on,' which some took as an indication that TFI Friday would not return.

Jay Hunt, Channel 4's creative officer, added: 'Chris is the best of the best of live broadcasters and I never doubted for a moment that this TFI would live up to expectations. Confirming a series was a no brainer.'
A spokesman for the BBC refused to respond to suggestions that the corporation had tried to stop Evans from appearing on TFI Friday as well as Top Gear, saying: 'We don't comment on contractual arrangements.'

After being appointed as Clarkson's replacement, Evans announced that he would be giving up his position as co host of The One Show on Friday evenings.
He landed the Top Gear job last week despite repeatedly saying that he did not want to take over from Clarkson, James May and Richard Hammond, who are all close friends of his.
But after being told that Hammond and May had decided not to return to the BBC2 show, Evans agreed to take the job, saying that Top Gear is his 'favourite show in the world'.
He has invited members of the public to audition for the chance to become a co presenter, with fans able to submit 30 second videos of themselves to a special website.
The new series of Top Gear starring Evans is likely to be broadcast in spring next year.

Dermot O'Leary has ruled himself out of becoming a co presenter on Top Gear saying that he couldn't hope to compete with Chris Evans.
The TV star, who recently left The X Factor, was tipped as a possible sidekick for Evans after it was confirmed that the DJ would be taking over from Jeremy Clarkson.
But today O'Leary said that he would only want to appear on Top Gear as the main host, and
